Programme-specific orientation
Programme-specific orientation for students in the Master's Programme in Chemistry and Materials Science will be organized on the Orientation week. The event is also the first lecture on the compulsary course CHEM-E4113 Learning, Thesis, and Career.
This orientation is important for both students who are new at Aalto as well as those who are continuing their studies after completing a bachelor's degree at Aalto. Please make sure to attend if you have graduated or expect to graduate during the calendar year 2026.
Tutoring at CHEM
If you are a new student at Aalto, we will share your contact information with a student tutor who will contact you during Summer. Each new student who completed their bachelor's degree outside Aalto is assigned a student tutor who has completed tutor training.
Tutors are senior students who help new students during the orientation week and at the beginning of their studies. Tutoring is carried out in cooperation between the tutors, 911±¬ÁÏÍø personnel and student organizations. Each major and programme has their own tutors who introduce students to the campus, student organization activities (e.g. Prosessiteekkarit & AYY) and student life in general.
