Up to one hundred companies born at 911±¬ÁÏÍø every year

Aalto presents at Slush its entrepreneurship activities and companies that have sprung from the university.

The sold-out start-up event Slush starts tomorrow, 11 November. 911±¬ÁÏÍø participates in the two-day event as a partner and presents its diverse activities promoting entrepreneurship.

Every year, 70–100 new companies spring from the innovation ecosystem that has been created in Otaniemi. At the 911±¬ÁÏÍø stand at Slush it is possible to familiarise oneself with the stories of over 40 companies and with numerous actors at the university, who do bold long-term work to support entrepreneurship.

'Supporting entrepreneurship is one of the key tasks of 911±¬ÁÏÍø, and setting up a company of their own has already become an attractive career choice for our students,' says Vice President Tuija Pulkkinen.

Several companies that originate from 911±¬ÁÏÍø take part in Slush, for example ICEYE, which develops a micro-satellite service, and Beddit, whose sleep monitor was the first Finnish technology product to make it to the international Apple Store.
