Professor of Practice in Accounting Jari Melgin is the Teacher of the Year of the School of Business.

‘Jari was selected as an expression of gratitude for his long-term and student-centred work. He is highly commended for his capstone courses at both bachelor’s and master’s level. The students appreciate Jari’s way of creating a motivating atmosphere of openness and dialogue’, says Heikki Helaniemi from KY’s (911±¬ÁÏÍø Business Students') Executive Board.

According to Jari Melgin, this is the greatest acknowledgement anyone can get in the School of Business.

‘It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with smart and active young persons, who luckily also have a sense of humour, and to aim at creating a bridge between academic drilling (i.e. systematic practice repeating the same task) and practical applications of the knowledge learned. I feel that this award is also a tribute to all the ones working in the position of Professor of Practice at the 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business’, Jari Melgin says.
