The School of Business is the only higher education institution in Finland that has a Partnership Programme.
The companies, which took part in Partnership Day.

The School of Business's External Relations Team introduced their activities to students again this year during the Partnership Day event.

The Partnership Programme has been tailored to the needs of corporations and maintains active cooperation between corporations and the school. At the moment, 14 companies participate in the programme of which as many as 11 introduced their activities to students on 22 September at the School of Business Partnership Day.

The main idea and purpose of Partnership Day is to help student become familiar with the corporations participating in the school's Partnership Programme. At the event, the corporations as employers have the opportunity to meet students face-to-face and, at the same time, tell students about the career opportunities they can offer.

'This year, a record number of corporations took part in Partnership Day!' Anne Salonvaara from the School of Business's External Relations Team rejoiced. 'Numerous partner corporations are currently in the process of recruiting so especially the speed interviews and CV guidance at the corporations' stands were extremely popular this time round.'

The newest corporation to join the Partnership Programme Danske Bank participated in Partnership Day for its first time, and the experience was largely a positive one. 'A large number of students, who were interested in Danske Bank as an employer visited our stand. We were also approached with questions concerning the banking sector in general,' Recruitment & Talent Specialist Joni Mäkinen from Danske Bank recounts.

Students exceptionally well prepared when they approached corporations

Students had been briefed in advance on what they should expect and what they would see at each company's stand. This year, what stood out at Partnership Day was those students were exceptionally well prepared when they approached corporations.

'We had told students that for the duration of the event we would provide such things as CV guidance. 'We even had a line at our stand from time to time,' Erja Vilja from OP stated.

Both Deloitte and KPMG carried out speed interviews during the event, for which students reserved times in advance. 'It was a pleasure to meet so many genuinely enthusiastic students,' HR Business Partner Pia Kankaantähti from Deloitte expressed. 'Application to our Trainee Programme is just beginning, so we used the speed interview opportunity provided by the event to our advantage. I am very pleased with the final result,' HR Manager Maria Kollman from KPMG in turn stated.

During conversions with students, the S Group offered students samples from its ice cream bar. 'A lot of students interested in our S-Trainee Programme visited our stand. They wanted to know more extensively about the job opportunities that the S Group has to offer,' stated Communications and Marketing Manager Maria Hämäläinen.

In its entirety, the Partnership Programme is built on services related to visibility and knowledge sharing, lecture collaboration, student projects and development of employer image from which companies select the areas of focus that best apply to them.

The following companies took part in Partnership Day:Danske Bank, Deloitte, CGI, Fazer, Finnair, EY, KPMG, OP, Nokia, S Group and PwC.
