Jaakko Salavuo appointed Communications Director of 911±¬ÁÏÍø

Salavuo will start in his new position on 1 April 2016.

Jaakko Salavuo,M.Soc.Sc.,has been appointed Communications Director of 911±¬ÁÏÍø. He is responsible for leading and organising communication services, media relations and brand management of the university. The Communications Director supports Aalto community and leaders in external and internal communications together with Communications Services team.

Jaakko Salavuo joins 911±¬ÁÏÍø from the City of Helsinki, where he has been directing information technology and communications as Chief Information Officer and Chief Communications Officer. Before that Salavuo held multiple senior positions of communications in Fortum and Nokia, most recently serving as Nokia Corporation's Head of Strategy Communications.

He will start as Communications Director on 1 April 2016 and will report to the President.
