Grants from Matti Lehti fund for the year 2026 awarded

The Matti Lehti fund has been donated to develop and encourage research, teaching and studies on digital information society in the School of Business

The Dean of the School of Business Timo Korkeam盲ki has made a decision on Matti Lehti grants for the year 2026. 

The Matti Lehti fund has been donated to develop and encourage research, teaching and studies on digital information society in the School of Business. The School of Business is co-funding part of the grants. These funds must be used by the end of year 2027. 

Grants are given to:

  1. Professor Tomas Falk: research visit travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淪mart wearing and hidden consumer labor 鈥 consumer practices with digital health technologies鈥, 2000鈧
  2. Senior University Lecturer Sami Kajalo: conference travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淧reparing Future Business Leaders for the Digital Information Society: Teaching AI-Related Skills and Responsible AI Use鈥, 2000鈧
  3. Research Fellow Owais Khan:  conference travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淭he role of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving sustainability-related decision-making in organizations鈥, 2000鈧
  4. Senior University Lecturer Leena Lankoski: conference travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淎I systems and the concept of 鈥渟ufficient care鈥, 1800鈧
  5. Assistant Professor Ilkka Lepp盲nen: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淢ovement and Preference Formation in Digital Choice Sets鈥, 3000鈧
  6. Professor Arto Lindblom: research visit travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淎 Study of Japanese Management Practices in the Age of Digitalization and AI鈥, 2000鈧
  7. Associate Professor Yong Liu: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淎 Longitudinal Study on The impact of AI-Enabled Robots on Psychological Well-being鈥, 1500鈧
  8. Doctoral researcher Arash Naghdi: conference travel expenses related to a study titled 鈥淧roblematizing Algorithmic Exhaustion in Hyper-Immersive Digital Markets鈥, 1700鈧
  9. Professor Matti Rossi: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淯nderstanding How Students Use AI Coding Agents for Software Development鈥, 4000鈧
  10. Doctoral researcher Mostafa Sadeghi: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淪ecurity Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) at the Edge of the Metaverse鈥, 4000鈧
  11. Postdoctoral researcher Heini-Emilia Saari: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淧lanning Decarbonization鈥, 2400鈧
  12. Associate Professor Eeva Vilkkumaa: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥滳omparing stated, elicited and incentivized risk preferences鈥, 600鈧
  13. Associate Professor Eeva Vilkkumaa: research expenses related to a study titled 鈥淔uture-ready blood services: Scenario-based decision support for renewing the Finnish blood supply chain鈥, 3000鈧

The total amount of grants in 2026 is 30,000 euros.
