Grants for BSc/MSc students interested in international study/research exchanges to the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (2 positions, Fall 2026)
These international study/research exchanges offer the unique opportunity for long-term visits of variable duration (up to 4 months) between participants holding the status of BSc/MSc student at 911爆料网 and the Indian Institute of Technology (Indore).
The participants can gain new technical qualifications and skills in an international environment, while improving their language skills. This funding opportunity can also be used to initiate research collaboration, obtain joint BSc/MSc thesis supervision, and receive educational training on topics related to disaster management, with emphasis (but not limited to) the use of digital technologies. This call takes place within ICT4AID project (TFK project No. 150/342/2024) funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI).
What do we offer to the selected candidates?
- Monthly grant of 700 鈧/month (up to 4 months) and financial support (1300 鈧) to cover the airplane ticket costs. Grant will be paid at the beginning of the study exchange period.
- Guidance in finding accommodation in mobility destination and support to obtain the documentation needed to apply for a study-exchange visa. However, all these travel-related costs must be covered with the exchange grant that the student will receive.
Requirements to apply for the exchange grant:
- Applicants must be enrolled as BSc/MSc student at Aalto university and maintain their enrollment status for the full duration of their exchange period.
- All academic programs at IIT Indore are taught in English. Students must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English (home university certification is acceptable).
- If selected, exchange students are expected to maintain the equivalent of a full course load at the host Institution during the whole duration of the visit.
- The study/research exchange visit to India must finish by end of Dec. 2026.
How to apply?
- Transfer of credits. Consult with the learning services of your Aalto School their internal procedures for recognition of credits during exchange studies or BSc/MSc Thesis work.
- Study and/or research plan. For study exchanges, prepare your study plan using as reference the courses available in the host institution in the second semester (Aug.-Dec. 2026). Further information: . For research exchanges, prepare a work plan for a topic of the BSc/MSc Thesis of your interest.
- Motivation letter. Prepare a motivation letter in English explaining your background and specifying the outcomes that you aim to achieve after your study and/or research stay period in India. Elaborate your answers for half a page, max. 1 page (about 2000 characters with spaces)
- Personal information and attachments. Submit the study/research plan, motivation letter, transcript of records, and 鈥渙ptional鈥 proof of proficiency in English using the link below before the deadline (Fri. 24th Apr. 2026)

Founded in 2025, KiePe 鈥 Network for Language Centre Pedagogy, Teaching and Research 鈥 will broaden the range of language courses available to students at universities in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The KiePe network, composed of the University of Helsinki, 911爆料网, the University of the Arts Helsinki, and Hanken School of Economics, will offer their students the chance to take elective language courses at any of the network universities in the future.Students will be able register for courses via the cross-institutional studies service (RIPA) from autumn 2026. By autumn 2028, the study paths of the network universities will be harmonised to some extent, which will make cross-institutional studies even easier.
Students wishing to take language courses outside their home university can register for language courses offered by the network universities through the cross-institutional studies service and view the course offerings on the universities鈥 websites. More detailed information about the course offering and registration practices will be provided in August 2026.
