Excellent Bachelor's students were awarded the Ilkka Kontula Foundation scholarships
Ilkka Kontula, LL.M., M.Sc. (Econ. & Bus. Admin), who died in 2012, studied both at the Helsinki School of Economics (today 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business) and the University of Helsinki. With his bequest, he wanted to give assistance to students in their everyday lives. Thus, the Ilkka Kontula Foundation awards annual incentive scholarships to students of the School of Business and the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki.
Scholarships are awarded annually to successful students who have completed at least 80 credit units during their three first terms. Personal scholarships are worth 1000 euros.
The School of Business Dean Ingmar Björkman awarded the diplomas and the scholarships altogether to 55 successful students:

ACME at Unite! Research School 2026
Ahmed Othman and Shreeram Pillai participated in Unite! Research School 2026 in Torino and Oropa, Italy, joining an international doctoral programme focused on interdisciplinary collaboration, research communication, and academic development.
Grants from Matti Lehti fund for the year 2026 awarded
The Matti Lehti fund has been donated to develop and encourage research, teaching and studies on digital information society in the School of Business
The Foundation for the Advancement of Finnish Securities Markets awards Juho Tuuliainen and Ville Virkkunen for their excellent Master’s thesis in the field of finance
Both students will receive a €3,500 scholarship.
