ENRIO 2021 congress takes place online on 27-29 September
The ENRIO 2021 Congress on Research Integrity Practice opens a new congress series that focuses on research integrity and research ethics and the development of responsible research in Europe. The event takes place online on 27-29 September 2021.
The main themes of the congress are the implications of open science and EU data protection laws on research integrity. Other key topics include research misconduct, research integrity training, research funding and the impact of the corona virus crisis on research. The practice-based approach of the event supports the work of science administrators and researchers.
The congress is organised by the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK and the (ENRIO), in collaboration with 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
Professor Riitta Salmelin, 911±¬ÁÏÍø, is member of the programme committee, and staff scientist Enrico Glerean, together with other 911±¬ÁÏÍø research community members, is organising a workshop titled Opening and sharing of personal data: ethical and legal issues and solutions on 27 September.
The registration opens on 3 May.
Early bird registration fees are available until 30 June.

Strong results from the Research Council’s winter call
A total of 54 Aalto researchers received Academy Research Fellow or Academy Project funding from the Research Council of Finland. The total funding awarded to 911±¬ÁÏÍø amounts to 33.2 million euros.
The Foundation for the Advancement of Finnish Securities Markets awards Juho Tuuliainen and Ville Virkkunen for their excellent Master’s thesis in the field of finance
Both students will receive a €3,500 scholarship.

911±¬ÁÏÍø presented several different circular economy solutions at The European Commission’s New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels. The event brought together leading names in EU policymaking, researchers, designers and grassroots actors from across Europe to shape a more sustainable future.
