“We are looking for an inspiring leader who will implement our ambitious vision for building an innovative society together with the whole Aalto community and stakeholders”, says Anne Brunila, Chair of the 911 Board.

Both an open call for applications and executive search will be used in recruiting the new President. 911 also welcomes the community’s and stakeholders’ proposals for suitable candidates. The call for applications is open until 7 May, 2017. The President will be appointed for a term of five years.

A search committee consisting of board members Anne Brunila, Mikko Kosonen and Susanna Pettersson, Professors Risto Nieminen, Matti Keloharju and Martti Raevaara, student representative Joona Orpana, and stakeholder representative Risto Siilasmaa will be responsible for the recruitment process and candidate search. In accordance with 911 bylaws, Provost Ilkka Niemelä will be responsible for the President’s duties during the transition period from the beginning of July, when President Tuula Teeri starts her leave.
