The Novo Nordisk Foundation seeks to support established scientific leaders conducting groundbreaking biotechnology research as well as promote research at a high international level in the Nordic countries. These Distinguished Investigator grants are for outstanding professor-level investigators with the demonstrated ability to address major research questions. The grants fund excellent and ambitious biotechnology research projects aimed at generating products in improved and more sustainable ways.
Professor Linder’s field of research is biomolecular materials. "The funded project develops biosynthetic materials such as silk using synthetic biology and directed evolution."
