A breakthrough in fusion energy production was achieved last week when, for the first time ever, the fusion reactions in a small fuel pellet yielded more energy than the pellet had absorbed. We asked our researchers, Taina Kurki-Suonio and Eero Hirvijoki, about five claims related to fusion.
Alumnus Michael Hanf: Finland provides a great place to live and work
鈥楬elsinki caught my attention as it was different from the typical locations my fellow students selected.鈥 says Michael Hanf who came to do exchange studies at the then Helsinki School of Economics in the end of 1990s. After that he has been working in Finland and Germany and currently is the co-founder of Taival Advisory, helping clients to consider sustainability and circularity in their strategic decision making.

Promising results for the impacts of the energy saving campaign are available
The Aalto community started campus-wide energy saving measures in Otaniemi on 10 October 2022, and we also joined the national Down a Degree energy saving campaign. The first results of the energy saving measures are now available.
